If you know a better hole, go to it

Square Pegs can feel under fire, and that reminded me of this famous WW1 cartoon from Bruce Bairnsfather.

If you feel like a square peg in a round hole, find someone who appreciates your talents or create your own hole.  Recognise the value you have in providing fresh ideas and perspectives which can replace the tired and failing thinking in some organisations.  You could follow your own star and become an entrepreneur.

Here’s a great quote from Bob Dylan: “Everything worth doing takes time. You have to write a hundred bad songs before you write one good one. And you have to sacrifice a lot of things that you might not be prepared for. Like it or not, you’re in this alone and have to follow your own star.”
